Long Island's North Fork
While Long Island's South Fork is much better known for it's beach and party scene and the hob-nobbing of the rich and famous in The Hamptons during the summer months, the North Fork paints a very different picture. You will encounter small town flair with quaint Main Street store fronts and plenty of agricultural treasures. Aside from a plethora of farm stands selling everything from spiced apple cider and home made jams and pies to buttered corn on the cob, you can also find exquisite antique stores sitting along side artisanal bakeries and fine art galleries. You can visit blooming lavender fields or a goat farm, pick your own strawberries in the spring and pumpkins in the fall. And of course you can always tour the many charming vineyards which dot the North Fork and offer wine tastings year round.
The North Fork is one of my favorite places to frequent in every season. Pictures in this gallery will be frequently updated, so make sure to check back soon!
