Montauk
Montauk, the self-proclaimed "Drinking Village with a Fishing Problem" lies at the very end of Long Island's South Fork and marches to the beat of a very different drum compared to it's rather posh neighbors "The Hamptons", where the rich and famous rub elbows with the young and beautiful all throughout the summer season. Montauk is worth a visit at any time of the year and offers a much more down to earth approach to life. You certainly will find plenty of opportunities to fish and drink, along with hiking, dining, shopping, and of course - surfing. A bustling family vacation town during the summer months, come fall it slowly transforms itself back into a cozy sleepy fishing village with beautiful beaches, ponds & woods abound and it has long been my favorite off-season getaway. Please check back often - more pictures to be uploaded soon!
