Winter
Winters on Long Island are unpredictable at best. They can range from mild to arctic in character and produce between little to no snow at all to seasons stacked with blizzard upon blizzard, a single one of which might deliver close to 2 feet of snow to any given area. Winter days can be dreary and grey or sport sparkly blue skies . One thing is for sure - a wintry Long Island buried under a thick layer of snow or ice has a very different look from those sun kissed beaches our island is known and loved for during the summer months.
