Fall
While Long Island summers are drawing huge NYC crowds, those of us who live here know that fall is simply the best season of all. The summer gangs have left, the beaches sparkle clean and clear and now belong to us once more. The waters are still warm enough to indulge in all sorts of water sports, the restaurants haven't closed for the season yet and all along Long Island's North Fork, farm stands are bustling and pumpkin picking for the kids along with wine tastings for the grown-ups are in full swing. And as for the colors and light - well, they're simply beautiful!
