Other LI Beaches
Long Island, truly long at 118 miles from tip to top and sporting a famous jagged shoreline all around, has more waterfront property than anyone could ever imagine. While much of it unfortunately consists of private property & limited access marinas, golf and country clubs, there are also several gorgeous ocean beaches & state parks, along with many county, town and village beaches, parks, bays, coves, piers & docks, as well as random strips of sand tucked away at the bottom of cul-de-sacs utilized for everything from dog walking to kayak launching to barefoot clamming. It is my mission to eventually capture them all, and in gorgeous Long Island light at that. If you know of a local beach access area that I might miss, please comment below or click on the "About" link to the left and shoot me a mail. As I add beaches to this gallery, I will try to keep them in alphabetical order (note: all Fire Island beaches to be found under "F"), so you can check if I have already photographed your favorite stretch of sand.
