SaltyDogPhotography  > SaltyDog > Travel > Montreal & Quebec City 2008
In October 2008 we took a little road trip through Canada and visited the cities of Montreal and Quebec. While Montreal is a vibrant and colorful metropolis, we were particularly charmed by Quebec City.

SaltyDogPhotography > Even this somewhat dilapidated backyard building exudes a certain charm.
SaltyDogPhotography > Colorful old world flair is easily encountered everywhere.
SaltyDogPhotography > Unlike Montreal, people in Quebec weren't intimidated by the cold and many customers enjoyed the street views under heat lamps in the countless outdoor cafes and bistros.
SaltyDogPhotography > This is the heart of the Upper Town in Old Quebec. Two more people in the crosswalk and I could have called this "Abbey Lane Revisited"...
SaltyDogPhotography > Old Quebec streets are charming everywhere, even the back alleys not part of the main drag.
SaltyDogPhotography > Not only the streets, even the people in it carry a certain stamp of individuality.
SaltyDogPhotography > Street life is vibrant in Quebec City, even during the brisk autumn months.
SaltyDogPhotography > Another street artist doing his thing. I became worried that his paint might dissolve in the rain, but when I tossed some coins in his box, he started to move in Robot fashion an pulled an umbrella out of his coat.
SaltyDogPhotography > Art is big in Quebec City and even on a chilly rainy afternoon the local arts and crafts market enjoyed many visitors.
SaltyDogPhotography > Store fronts are often decorated very creatively.
SaltyDogPhotography > Not only store fronts, even public restrooms radiate an "artsy touch".
SaltyDogPhotography > Many beautiful craft stores can be found in the "lower city".
